FAIRFAX–Frank P. Ziegler died peacefully at the end of prayers surrounded by his wife and children on December 6, 2023, at the age of 63.

Frank was born on January 8th, 1960, to Frank J. and Mary (Roiger) Ziegler. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1978, continued his ag education at University of Minnesota – Waseca, and returned to his hometown to become a third generation farmer on a century farm outside of Fairfax. He was passionate about his bountiful vegetable garden and could be found at local farmers markets.

Frank was a lifelong and active member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Frank and Desiree married there on August 8, 1987. A dedicated member of the community, Frank looked forward to donating Ziegler sweet corn to the Lions Feed every summer. Papa Frank savored his time playing with his grandkids.

Frank will be dearly missed and celebrated by his beloved wife of 36 years, Desiree, and his children: David and his wife Laura, Nathan, and Megan; and grandkids, Izzy, August, and Otto. He was reunited in heaven with his son Steven, parents, Frank J. and Mary, and in-laws, Louis and Evelyn Rocheford, and many wonderful family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. A Rosary will be prayed by Knights of Columbus and Catholic United Financial at 3:30 prior to visitation. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 9th at the church, with burial and luncheon to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Renville County Walk in the Park.
