Born on March 22, 1934 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Celestine (Hegler) and Benno Dittrich, Delores (Dittrich) Schonauer passed away peacefully on October 16th at the age of 89. Dee had a zest for all life had to offer and always shared a smile and a laugh with those around her. She loved to travel and started her journey in Los Angeles CA at 19 where she met her husband Ed in a ski club and married in 1962. They lived in Switzerland for a few years before settling in the suburbs of Pittsburgh PA to raise their family. In retirement they moved to Mesa Arizona and continued to travel all over the world. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Schonauer, her siblings, Jerry Dittrich, Jim Dittrich, Arline Drill, and Rosie Drill, her brothers-in-law, Denny Drill, and Dean Rolstad. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Rolstad, sisters-in-law Anita Dittrich and Marion Dittrich, children Heidi McFarland, Paul Schonauer, Susan Finney, Four (4) grandchildren and over 21 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held February 10th, 2024 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetary in Mesa AZ.
