Brian was born in St. Paul, MN to Don and Lorraine (Hacker) Potter on June 21, 1958.

Brian was a 1976 graduate of New Ulm Senior High School and attended Bemidji State University. He was a long-time Alaska resident. He worked as an attendant at an Anchorage hospital until health problems forced him into early retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and home renovation projects.

He is survived by his brother Bruce (Patty) Potter of New Ulm and their son Christopher, Beth Plasencia (Doug) of Phoenix, AZ, and their children, Jonathan and Suzi, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Lorraine Potter, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

A private service will be held at a later date.
