SPRINGFIELD–James Bauer Sr., 80, of Springfield, MN died on August 21, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow visitation at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Jim is survived by his wife, Julie; sons, Jimmy Bauer and son, Logan, Tony (Cryshall) Bauer and children, Shantell and Ean Bennett, and Bob Bauer and children, Presley, Gaige and Bentley Bauer; and a special love by no other animal, Luna Bear. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don Bauer, Dick Bauer, and Gordy Bauer. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Dementia Society of America or to plant a tree in Jim’s memory.
