NEW ULM–Cameron Jay Haugen, age 69 of New Ulm died on Monday, August 7, 2023, the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. A graveside service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hanska at a later date. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements at this time. Cameron is survived by his daughter, Heather Fletcher of New Ulm; his 4 grandchildren; and his sister, Valline “Val” Sellner of Sleepy Eye. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Sharon Richardson, Charlene Ogle; and his brother, Harmon Haugen. Cameron Jay Haugen was born February 10, 1954, in New Ulm to Raymond and Harriet (Vegum) Haugen. His full obituary will follow in a later edition of The Journal.
