Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, June 14 and will continue from 9-10:30 am on Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm.

The Christian Mother’s will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Cathedral.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Laurie Klement of New Ulm; sons, Brian (Leann) Klement of New Ulm and Randy (Teresa) Klement of Rochester; grandsons, Joel (Ali), Greg (Theresa), Scott (Jenni), and Michael (Melissa) Klement; great-grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Leo, Sophie Jo, Lilly, Skylar, Sully, Max and Bella; and by her sister, Barbara Knutson of Eagan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art in 2008; and her parents.

Dorothy Mae Kumm was born on August 25, 1930 in New Ulm to Michael & Adeline (Regelin) Kumm. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1948. Dorothy was united in marriage to Arthur Klement on May 20, 1952 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. After their marriage they farmed in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County. They moved to New Ulm in 1984. Dorothy was employed at Thornley Oswald Publishing Company, Ebert’s, and Bonanza. She enjoyed Bingo, baking, bowling, cooking, playing cards, and collecting owls. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
