Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm. Pastor Nick Scutari will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm.

Julie is survived by her mother, Virene Bauman of New Ulm; siblings, Teresa “Terry” (Steve) Evans of Lindstrom, Robert Bauman of New Ulm, Brian Bauman of Urbana, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Bauman.

Julie Ann Bauman was born March 11, 1954 to Leo and Virene (Bertram) Bauman in Fargo, North Dakota. Julie graduated from Mankato East High School in 1974 and, a few years later, moved to Arizona. She lived at Rainbow Acres in Arizona for 15 years before moving back to New Ulm. When she moved back, she began working at MRCI. In her free time, Julie enjoyed completing puzzles, making crafts, playing softball, going bowling, and watching movies. She especially enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and all the activities with the community and her friends. Julie will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.

Memorials are preferred to Adaptive Recreational Services in New Ulm.
