Earle William Stevermer
Earle William Stevermer died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the age of 81 at the Mayo Clinic Mankato Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Church of St. Mary in Sleepy Eye. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, June 15, from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 4:00pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and also one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Military Honors will be provided by Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements. Earle was born on April 29, 1942, to Henry and Lucilla (Rollenhagen) Stevermer in Easton, MN. Earle enlisted in the United States Army in 1963 and served in Germany until 1966.
Earle is survived by his wife, Pat, children: Darcie Bien of Brookings, SD, Chad Stevermer of West Fargo, ND, and Nathan Stevermer of Sleepy Eye; six grandchildren:sisters: Lorna Feist of Wells, MN, Rita Craft of Key Biscayne, FL, Mary Beckmann of Green Bay, WI, Kaydra Lee of Algoma, WI, and Lynette Lair of Emmons, MN; a brother, Roland of Blaine, MN; and many
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Sleepy Eye Public School Athletic Booster Club, Sleepy Eye Education Foundation Scholarship Fund, or the Lion’s Club.
