Christine Alane Kent was born on April 20, 1956, in Sleepy Eye to LuVerne and Judith (Siemers) Kent. Growing up a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, Chris was baptized into the faith on May 6, 1956, and later confirmed on May 17, 1970. She was a 1974 graduate from Gibbon High School, and furthered her education on the job at the Union Hospital in New Ulm where she attained her nursing degree as an LPN. Chris later worked as a daycare provider taking care of local children before starting her 20-year career where she worked as a custodian at Kraft Foods in New Ulm. Besides her work, there were a variety of hobbies she enjoyed in life to stay occupied. She loved shopping, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, cheering for the Vikings, and simply relaxing in her back yard. Many great memories were made over the years travelling with her sisters and her family on numerous trips. As an individual who loved holidays, one of her greatest joys was getting to host her family for any event she could. What she loved most in life was time she got to spend with her family. She loved getting to follow all of her grandkids activities, and especially loved getting to see them grow. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
