A Memorial Service will be held at the Springfield Area Community Center, on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. Following the service, a celebration of Bernice’s life will be held from 11:30 an. to 2 p.m.. in the Fireside Room at the community center. Inurnment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.

Bernice was born August 14, 1926, to Carl and Loretta Schumacher in rural Sleepy Eye.

Bernice is survived by six children: Loren of Bloomington, Janet Erickson of Bloomington, Vince of St. Augusta, Becky Waskosky of Mankato, David of Champlin and Barb Wagman of Emily; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one brother, Jim Schumacher.
