Marion Anderson, 84, of New Ulm died Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm.
A memorial visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Marion is survived by her husband LeRoy Anderson of New Ulm; daughter, Cindy (Alan) Bue of New Ulm; sons, Kevin Anderson of New Ulm, Darren (Julie) Anderson of Hector, Marvin Anderson of North Mankato; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy (Craig) Wichert of New Ulm and Bonnie Kittelson of Stillwater; a brother Jerry (Tootie) Kittleson of Spirit Lake, Iowa; brother-in law Bob Batch of Texas, sister-in-law Dee Kleinow Burnsville, a former daughter-in-law, Vicki Anderson of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and numerous nieces and nephews that lovingly called her Auntie Em.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Doris Batch; daughter LeAnn Krzmarzick; granddaughter Amanda Anderson; a daughter-in-law, Kandice Anderson, and brother-in-law Ray Kleinow.
Marion Kittleson was born October 13, 1938 in Clayton, Wisconsin to Martin and Tina (Zemke) Kittelson. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Anderson on June 23, 1956 at First Lutheran Church in St. James. Marion worked as a Nurses Aid at various nursing homes throughout the state including Oak Hills in New Ulm. She was also employed at Dittrich Specialties and Walmart.
Marion enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, quilting, gardening, reading mystery novels and spending time with her family. She played the accordion. When she played “you are my sunshine” she encouraged her kids and grandkids to sing along.
Marion’s family would like to thank the staff at Prairie Senior Cottages for the excellent care she received as a resident for the past two years. Staff at Prairie Senior Cottage stated that the little “spitfire” will be dearly missed.
