Deloris is survived by her children, Kitty Jensen of Tyler, Rick (Joan) Jensen of New Ulm; Kim (Mike) DeVries of Tyler; grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Briggs, Ben (Amanda) Jensen, Zack (Whitney) Jensen, Joseph DeVries, Ellie DeVries, Grace DeVries, Jacob DeVries, Hannah DeVries; great grandchildren, Candon, Braylon, Porter, McKenna, Adalyn, Louis, Laken; brother, Duane Johnson of Tyler; sister-in-law, Opal Jensen of Greeley, Colorado; brother-in-law, Dennis (Esther) Jensen of Tyler; and many extended family and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Jensen; her parents; and her brother, Clayton Johnson.

Deloris Ann Johnson was born Aug. 27, 1936 to Elof and Ann Johnson in Tyler. She graduated from Ruthton Public High School. On Dec. 4, 1954, Deloris was united in marriage to Wilmer Jensen in Ruthton. Deloris dedicated her early years to raising her children and worked at various jobs. Later in life, she worked as a Dietary Supervisor at Tyler Healthcare. After 35 years, Deloris retired and was able to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Deloris had many hobbies, such as golfing on Tuesdays, embroidery, tending to flowers, collecting keychains and light-up Christmas villages, and attending First English Church functions, especially the Circle with her friends. She also enjoyed helping Wilmer raise and care for their many varieties of animals and making “award winning” costumes for the kids to wear at horse shows. Many treasured memories were made going through Wilmer’s and Deloris’ large personal collections, eating her homemade ice cream at holidays, and watching all the Disney movies we could. She will be dearly missed. Blessed be her memory.

Zack Jensen (grandson of Deloris) of Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes is handling funeral arrangements.
