Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, Nov. 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm.

Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling the arrangements.

Helen Catherine was born on Aug. 27, 1929 to Anton and Anna (Schroedl) Baumann in New Ulm. She married Frank E. Rieger on Oct. 15, 1951.

Helen is survived by her children: Anne Rieger, Jane (Mike) Domeier, Helene (Rick) Hurrle, Mark (Barb) Rieger, Claire (Bill) Gernbacher, Bryan (Amy) Rieger; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers Bernie and Bill Baumann.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; her parents; stepmother Frances (Voltin) Baumann and brothers Arnie and Tony Baumann.

Most important to Helen was her faith and family. She cherished being a wife, mother, and Oma.
