Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James. Burial will follow at the Butterfield City Cemetery in Butterfield. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Sturm Funeral home (sturmfh.com) is handling arrangements.

She was born Feb. 29, 1928, Jane (Langeland) and Otis Nordby and married Vernon Watson on Nov. 10, 1951

LaVonne is survived by her sons, Terry Watson, Lonny Watson and Lynn Watson; daughter, Jana Falk; and brothers, Dennis Nordby and James Nordby.
