A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard.

Frank is survived by his wife, Susan; several nieces and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Hass.

Frank Joseph Marka was born on July 7, 1939, in New Ulm to Frank C. & Mary (Heck) Marka. He served in the Army Signal Corps and was honorably discharged on April 19, 1965, after two years of service. Frank was united in marriage to Susan Marie Oates on November 15, 1975, in Morristown, Minnesota. He was employed in construction as a cement finisher with various New Ulm contractors, including Saffert Construction, New Ulm Building Center and Blank Construction. Frank was a member of the American Legion, AARP, and the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association. Frank will be dearly missed by Susan, his loving wife of 47 years.
