A Celebration of Life will be held at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home South Chapel, 600 S. Broadway St., New Ulm, MN, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11 a.m.. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday.

He is survived by his children; Nancy Anderson, Cindy (Anderson) Petrie and (Guy Petrie), Paula Anderson and (Steven Wachter), and James and (Valerie) Anderson; Grandchildren: Jared Wachter and (Grace Ouyang), Caitlin Petrie, Aaron Baum, and Conrad Wachter; Step grandchildren: Melissa Sanderson (Jeremy Buck and family), Mandy (Sanderson) LaBrosse (Matt LaBrosse and family), and Matt (Wendy) Sanderson and great-grandchildren: Vera and Sisu Wachter, and many dear nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Cleo (Rensberger) Anderson, infant son Anderson, Elmer Anderson, Mae (Howell) Anderson, Mary (Anderson) Hansen, Christopher Anderson, Raymond Anderson, and John Anderson.

Allan Dale Anderson was born February 9, 1925 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Nellie Mae (Howell) and Elmer Anderson. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from SDSU, Brookings, SD in 1947. Allan was united in marriage to Cleo Rensberger in August, 1947. He farmed in the Wilmot, SD area in the 1960s then was an agronomist and manager at Northrup King Seed Company until 1987.
