LaRae L. Grundmeyer, age 72, of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, died on Sept. 2, 2022, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.Visita-tion will be on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sturm Fu-neral Home in Sleepy Eye and will continue on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church.Funeral Service will be held at the St. John’s Evan-gelical Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye, on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
The clergy will be Pastor Tim Berg.
Interment will be at the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

LaRae Louise Grundmeyer was born on July 14, 1950, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond & LayMyra (Fiebiger) Grundmeyer. LaRae grew up in Sleepy Eye and attended St. John’s School. She was baptized on August 20, 1950, and confirmed on March 22, 1964, at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She made her home South of Sleepy Eye East of the Airport for many years and also in two different group homes and most recently atthe Sleepy Eye Care Center.LaRae loved cats, enjoyed baking, word search puzzles, playing solitaire and kings in the corner, coloring, painting, watching movies and reading junior novels. She enjoyed the group home activities, karaoke, bowling, music, bingo and going on trips.
LaRae is survived by her brother, Ralph Grundmeyer, of rural Sleepy Eye and cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronald in 1962.
