Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 19, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Raphael Catholic Church Friday, Aug. 19, 11 a.m. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception at the Springfield Golf Course.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home (sturmfh.com) in Springfield.

Gloria was born May 6, 1936, in Wanda, Minnesota, to Ed and Emma Turbes and married Albert Platz Aug. 27, 1957. She is survived by children: Juli Hand, Teresa Platz and Randall Platz; and sisters: Elaine Polzin, Janet Platz and Mary Schmitz.
