Saimi Vogl, age 90, of New Ulm, died Sunday, Aug.7, 2022, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at the New Ulm City Cemetery, with Pastor Grant Bode officiating.

Saimi is survived by a niece, Dolores Dalton of Toronto, Canada; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johann Vogl; parents; and sister, Helgi (Robert) Sobisz.
Saimi Kleinert was born on June 1, 1932, in Tallinn, Estonia, to Karl and Irene (Saalvelt) Kleinert. They came to the United States in 1950. Saimi lived in New York City and worked for an airline before moving to Milwaukee in 1958, where she was employed at an investment firm. She was married to George Saar in 1955, and they would later divorce in 1975. In 1980, Saimi was united in marriage to Johann Vogl in Milwaukee. Later that year, they moved to Dodge Center, where Saimi had a bakery and restaurant that she owned and operated with her husband for 20 years. After retirement, she moved to New Ulm in 2000. Saimi was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, and crossword puzzles.
