NEW ULM — Clarence Hacker, 72, of New Ulm died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday and 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Nancy Hacker of New Ulm; daughters, Lori (Simon) Pearson of England, Amy Povick of Greenfield, Wisconsin, Marcy (Mike) Enger of New Ulm, Holly Hacker of Lafayette; sons, Richard (Leann) Hacker, Bill (Amanda) Hacker of Lafayette, Corey Hacker (Erin McCarty) of New Ulm, Eric (Lisa) Hacker of New Ulm; 19 grandchildren; and his sister, Helen (Bill) Brown of New Ulm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Morgan Povick; and a grandson, Ethan Hacker.

Clarence Fred Hacker was born June 20, 1945 in New Ulm to Fred and Alma (Seifert) Hacker; He attended New Ulm Public Schools. Clarence was united in marriage to Nancy Bieraugel on May 27, 1967 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County where they lovingly raised eight children on the family farm. Clarence was also employed at Kraft Foods in New Ulm. Clarence enjoyed auctions, visiting with neighbors, going to lunch with friends, hunting, attending hunting banquets and driving around on his Ranger and giving his grandchildren rides.

He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, St. John’s COF, NRA, Ducks Unlimited, National Turkey Federation, Minnesota Pheasants Forever, and the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.

Clarence dearly loved his family and grandchildren and will be forever missed. Blessed by his memory.
