Katie M. Christian, 26, 406 16th St. S., New Ulm, received a stay of adjudication Monday for theft of a controlled substance. Successful probation completion will result in dismissal of charges. She was sentenced to one day in jail, credited with one day served, fined $3,000 and placed on five years Supervised probation, monitored by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

Conditions include do not use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives, complete and follow recommendations of inpatient and outpatient treatment, psychological evaluation, if directed by agent, write letter of apology to victim, complete cognitive skills program, pay fee, enter and successfully complete Brown Nicollet Watonwan County Drug Court, pay $800 fee, cooperate with team and Court requirements. Restitution open for 30 days.

Macie R. McAlpine, 36, 725 S. Minnesota St., New Ulm, received a stay of adjudication Wednesday for malicious punishment of a child-substantial bodily harm. Third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm, misdemeanor domestic assault and fifth-degree assault charges were dismissed. She was fined $1,160 and placed on five years Supervised probation, monitored by Minnesota Department of Corrections, Field Services. Conditions include comply with mental health therapy as directed by agent and therapist, chemical dependency evaluation/treatment, complete domestic abuse assessment, follow recommendations, do not use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives, 30 days STS with credit for three days previous jail time, to be completed within one year.
