Brown County Sheriff’s Office • Received a report at 9:54 p.m. Thursday of a suspicious man walking around town, wearing blue jeans and a hoodie near 1st St. South and Knudsen Street in Evan. The man fled when deputies got close. A report was done for documentation. New Ulm Police • Responded to a report from the Walmart asset protection employee at Walmart at 7:41 p.m. Thursday. A 65-year-old Madelia woman involved in a felony theft case returned to the store, was confronted by the asset protection employee and fled. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

New Ulm Police • Responded to a three-vehicle crash at 13th South and German Street at 9:20 p.m. Monday. A 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven southbound on German St. by Chad Cooreman, 35, New Ulm, veered to the side of the road and hit an unoccupied 2024 Honda Odyssey, continued, hitting an unoccupied 2015 Ford Explorer.
