New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old St. Paul man with a cancelled drivers license-inimical to public safety Dec. 25. Police noticed an equipment violation and that the vehicle plates didn’t match. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 2:55 p.m. Thursday at Washington St. and 8th St. N. A 2023 Kia Telluride driven westbound by Nicola Juliann Swart, 33, Gibbon and a 2019 Subaru Ascent driven southbound by Sarah Marie Bengtson, 27, New Ulm, were approaching the intersection of Washington and 8th St. N., attempted to brake and collided on snow-covered roads. New Ulm Police • Took a skip-scanning report from Walmart at 7:21 p.m. Monday. A 43-year-old Winthrop woman cited for for theft for two incidents Oct. 22-Nov. 12 totaling $102.32. A report was done for documentation. • Took a disturbance call at 2:53 p.m. Tuesday at 2201 N. Broadway. A 52-year-old Evan woman said she and a 76-year-old Sleepy Eye man got into a disagreement, she told him she was going to call police and he took her cell phone and refused to give it back.
