Redwood County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to the 28000 block County Highway 11 near Morgan at 7:19 p.m. Monday regarding an ATV rollover crash with injuries. The driver, who will be identified later, had critical injuries in the cash and was flown from the scene to North Memorial Hospital. Assisting agencies were Morgan Fire and Ambulance, Centra Care Ambulance and North Air Care. The crash remains under investigation. Sibley County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 2:08 p.m. Friday on 300th Street (CR 25) near 561st Avenue, Cornish Township, a mile south of Winthrop. Jereome Schmidt, 83, Winthrop, was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on CR 25 when he collided with a 1995 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Willem Durandt, 49, Gibbon. The semi was loaded with fertilizer, parked on the shoulder of eastbound CR 25. A female passenger in the Jeep was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
