New Ulm Police • Responded to two-vehicle crash reported at 5:14 p.m. Thursday at 7th North and Washington St. A 2013 Nissan Armada driven by Beth Maxine Finnesgard Vavra, 47, New Ulm, was westbound on 7th North, just west of Washington St. as the sun was setting, when she collided with a legally parked pickup truck and trailer. Damage was severe, disabling to the Nissan, significant to the trailer and moderate to the rear of the pickup. New Ulm Police • Attempted to locate a suicidal, 45-year-old New Ulm man at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday. He returned home, unharmed three hours later. A report was done for documentation. Minnesota State Patrol • Received a two-vehicle crash report at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 14 at milepost 128, North Mankato, Nicollet County. A 2013 Ford F250 driven by Michael James Maxwell, 47, Cottonwood and a 2004 Toyota Corolla driven by Triston John Whitney, 24, Lafayette, were westbound on Highway 14 when they collided. Redwood County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with suspected injuries at 4:28 p.m. Monday at Bedal St. and 3rd St., Walnut Grove. A Toyota truck driven by Peter Vang, Walnut Grove, failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a Polaris ATV driven by Gary Pilaczynski, Walnut Grove. The ATV tipped on the driver’s side Pilaczynski was transported to a hospital for a suspected injury.
