New Ulm Police • Arrested a 64-year-old Minneapolis man at 7:03 p.m. Tuesday in the Brown County Law Enforcement Center lobby on a Hennepin County warrant for disorderly conduct. The man was walked to jail. A report went to Brown County Human Services. • Responded to a burglary report at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday at Smoke N’ Cloud, 701 N. Broadway. The front door was completely shattered and entry was gained. More than $1,000 worth of products were reported stolen. Police obtained video surveillance of a male suspect. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 212 near 2nd Street, Buffalo Lake, Renville County at 6:22 p.m. Friday. A 2024 Peterbilt (semi) tractor driven by John Shedrick Chase, 58, Bird Island, was parked on Highway 212 when a westbound 2013 GMC Terrain driven by Paul David Sauter, 53, Buffalo Lake, collided with the rear of the semi. Sauter was transported to a Glencoe hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sauter wore a seat belt and an airbag deployed in his vehicle.

New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at Broadway and 9th St. South at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Police noticed impairment signs and arrested the driver, a 39-year-old New Ulm man for fourth-degree DWI, driving after revocation and no proof of insurance. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at Garden Street and 1st North Street at 4:10 pm. Wednesday. A 2001 car driven southbound on Garden Street by Patrick Portner, 47, New Ulm, rear-ended a southbound 2019 SUV driven by Laurie Klimes, 63, Lafayette, who yielded to a pedestrian crossing the street.
