New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Fairfax female at 2:12 a.m. at 7th Street North and Front Street. Police found THC vapes, marijuana joints and buds, a grinder and THC drinks. The driver was given a verbal warning and told to put the items in the vehicle trunk.

• A 26-year-old New Ulm male told police at 9:31 a.m. Tuesday that someone opened a Discover card in his name and ran up more than $400 in charges. The report is under investigation.

• A 68-year-old New Ulm man told police at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday he lost $15,000 on a Telegram messaging app trying to purchase a cell phone. The report is under investigation.

• A 59-year-old New Ulm man made concerning comments about his neighbors at New Ulm Medical Center at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday. He was provided mental health resources. A report was done for documentation.

• Police pursued a speeding vehicle at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday at 1st Street South and German Street. The vehicle fled officers and continued north on State Highway 15 and went out of control near Nicollet County Road 5 and 587th Avenue after reaching speeds greater than 110 mph. The driver, a 20-year-old Lafayette man, was arrested for fleeing a peace officer, reckless driving, speeding and obstructing the legal process. He was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney's Office.
