Sibley County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on CR 13 (441st Ave) just south of 190th Street (CR 15) in New Auburn Township at 6:49 a.m. April 2. Madison Krueger, 24, Glencoe, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on CR 13, lost control and collided with a 1997 Honda CRV driven by Amanda Flannery, 40, Winthrop. Both parties were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. The Honda had disabling damage. The Chevrolet was driven from the scene. Weather and road conditions contributed to the crash. New Auburn Rescue, Arlington and Allina Ambulance assisted.
New Ulm Police
• Took a report of three juveniles in the former Marktplatz mall at 7:29 a.m. Saturday. Officers entered the mall and heard the sounds of breaking glass. Three males including 14 year old boys from Lafayette and New Ulm and a 13-year-old New Ulm boy fled on foot when they noticed officers in the mall but were apprehended and spoken to. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration of trespassing and fleeing an officer by means other than a motor vehicle.
• Took a report of male with a foreign accent calling Brown County Dispatch and stating he was hiding under a car in the Walmart parking lot at 2:34 p.m. Saturday. The caller then said he was on the Walmart roof with a rifle. It was quickly determined that the call was a hoax and came from the United Kingdom. A report went to the FBI.
• Took a Walmart theft report at 6:25 p.m. Saturday after an employee found empty electronic device boxes in the family restroom. Surveillance video showed a 33-year-old Fairmont woman and 29-year-old male, address unknown, entering the restroom with items. A report went to investigators.
• Officers arrested a 36-year-old New Ulm man sought by Cambridge Police due to a domestic abuse no contact order (DANCO) at 7:03 p.m. Saturday on the 800 block of Valley St. N. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail, awaiting transportation to the Isanti County Jail. A report was done for documentation.
