New Ulm Police

• Took a theft report of stolen black Nike backpack Tuesday at 10:48 a.m. It contained a Lenovo Think Pad X Yogo Gen 8 with 512 GB storage. Value was $2000.00. It was likely stolen from a vehicle that was parked outside the Backerei.

• Responded to the NOVA house Tuesday at 9:04 p.m. for a client that left that residence who was on a commitment hold out of Hennepin County. The 40-year-old Minneapolis male was not located. NUPD made Hennepin County aware of the male leaving and not being found. Report sent to Hennepin County.

• Spotted a woman Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. driving a vehicle that they knew had a warrant out of Redwood County. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the 58-year-old Redwood Falls woman. She was transported to the Brown County Jail.

• Received a call of possible child abuse Wednesday at 6:29 p.m. An individual in an apartment heard a loud thud noise and then a child crying in the hallway. She heard an adult voice using profanities towards the child after hearing the thud. Officers spoke with the mother, 28-year-old New Ulm woman who stated her 3-year-old son tripped. The mother denied anything physical occurring. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Spoke with Holiday Gas Station manager Thursday at 8:17 p.m. who stated a male broke the glass window in the exit door. In reviewing the video surveillance, the male was a past employee, a 27-year-old New Ulm man. The man intentionally punched the window. The store was going to issue a trespass notice to the employee as well as seek criminal damage charges against the male. NUPD is waiting on the damage estimate before sending a citation to the male.

• Spoke to a 49-year-old New Ulm woman Friday at 11:43 a.m. who stated someone opened a credit card from Credit One in her name. The woman suspects it could have been a family matter but did not want to provide a name. The woman stated that card was never activated.

Sheriff’s Office

• Executed a narcotics-related search warrant in Arlington Thursday at 119 Henderson Road. 61.1 grams of methamphetamine, 10 ecstasy pills, and cash were located. 47-year-old Kerri Brockhoff, who resides in the home, was arrested and charged with 1st, 4th, and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.
