New Ulm Police
• Responded to an assault report at 2 a.m. Saturday in an alley on the first block of Minnesota Street North. Police said a 21-year-old New Ulm man had a cut lip and tooth injury when a 21-year-old Mendota Heights man hit him in the face. The victim was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Dept. and later went to a dentist. Police said the suspect admitted hitting the man. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to a request by Mankato Police at 9:47 p.m. Sunday to arrest a 44-year-old New Ulm man wanted for felony threats of violence and assault. Police located a vehicle believed to be driven by the suspect but terminated pursuit for safety reasons. The suspect was later located by Richfield Police, picked up by local police and transported to the Brown County Jail. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a bicycle theft report Sunday noon on the 1500 block of South Broadway. A 31-year-old New Ulm man said the bike’s value was estimated at $100. A 40-year-old New Ulm man was cited for misdemeanor theft.
• Received a theft report at storage units at 16th Street South at 4:11 p.m. Monday. A 53-year-old Courtland man said items estimated to be worth $1,078 was missing from a storage unit. A report was done for documentation.
• Arrested a 41-year-old New Ulm female for a probation violation and transported her to detox at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday. A report went to Brown County Probation.
• Received a scam/fraud report of two $10.78 online charges posted on a complainant’s bank account. A report was done for documentation.
