New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Sleepy Eye female at 2:07 a.m. Saturday at the TH 15/14 intersection. The driver was cited for an instruction permit violation. A 27-year-old Sleepy Eye male passenger was arrested on a warrant. Nobody was hurt, no damage reported.

Springfield Police

• Responded to a mental health issue at 1:26 p.m. Saturday in Springfield. A 14-year-old female was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center mental health unit. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

Nicollet County Sheriffs

•The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of scam calls from a person claiming to be Aaron Petersen with the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office. This person is demanding money and threatening arrest if the money isn’t paid. These phone calls are a scam, the public is advised not to pay any money or give any personal information over the phone. Disregard these phone calls.
