New Ulm Police

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash without injuries in snowy conditions at Highland Ave. North and Maplewood Ave. at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 14. Anahi Zavala, 16, St. James, lost control of a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox while eastbound, rounding a curve, collided with a tree. Damage was moderate to the rear driver side door. Zavala wore a seat belt.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at TH 5 and 4th Street, Gaylord, Sibley County at 7:53 p.m. Feb. 13. Craig Allen Zajicek, 61, Glencoe, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on on TH 5, left the road, hit two street signs, a light pole and crashed into a building at the northeast corner of the intersection. Zajicek was transported to North Memorial Hospital. He did not wear a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. Assisting agencies were Gaylord Police and Fire Departments, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and Ridgeview Ambulance.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 2:56 p.m. Feb. 14 at TH 111 and TH 99, Nicollet, Nicollet County. Marlene Helen Wilking, 68, Nicollet, was driving a 2022 Buick Encore northbound on Highway 111, left the road and hit a utility pole just north of Highway 99. She was transported ot Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato. Wilking wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Nicollet Fire Dept. and River’s Edge Ambulance assisted.
