NEW ULM — The Willkommen committee visited the new site of Becky Bakes. The new bakery in town resides at 213 South Minnesota Street in New Ulm. Becky Waibel and daughter Emily Atnip are producing custom sweets for all types of celebrations. From graduations to family events, Emily and Becky are ready to whip-up a delicious treat for any occasion. Becky bakes menu includes gourmet cupcakes, cookie sandwiches, cheesecakes, cookies and much more.

For Becky, baking started off as a hobby in her home kitchen. After Emily returned home, to New Ulm, the two teamed up to create a bakery that offers customers freshly baked delicious treats. Although the bakery is not open during regular business hours, customers and cupcake enthusiasts are always welcome to venture inside to see what might be baking. You might even be able to purchase some warm, just out of the oven, chocolate chip cookies.

They also do pop-up Saturdays, during special events downtown, and holidays. But the goal right now is to not have normal business hours so they can focus on their client’s orders. Their website allows customers to order off their entire menu, log on to beckybakesmn.com.
