Fafinski Mark & Johnson expands New Ulm office with new shareholder Paul Shneider

EDEN PRAIRIE — Fafinski Mark & Johnson, P.A. announced today that Mankato attorney Paul Shneider will join the New Ulm office as a Shareholder. Shneider will continue his practice of representing closely-held businesses, tax-exempt organizations, and banks and financial institutions in various corporate matters.

Shneider’s representation of closely-held businesses and tax-exempt organizations includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation and capitalization, governance, contract negotiation, divestitures, and other corporate matters. His banking practice includes documenting financing and credit facilities, negotiating work out agreements, participating in farmer-lender mediation, and resolving troubled loans.

Shneider also has a diverse real estate practice representing clients in commercial transactions, easement issues, and development and financing negotiations.

Ancillary to his legal practice, Shneider is and will remain actively involved in the Mankato community. He is a board member of the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota and former board member (and former President) of the Minnesota River Builders Association. He recently received the President’s Award from the Minnesota River Builders Association and the organization’s Associate Member of the Year award in 2015 and 2019. Shneider has also served as a community impact team member for Greater Mankato Area United Way and participated in Greater Mankato Growth’s Leadership Institute.

Before joining FMJ, Shneider was a partner at a mid-sized law firm in Mankato. He was named a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics in 2020. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School where he graduated magna cum laude and served as a Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review.
