Citizens Bank Minnesota announces promotions

NEW ULM — Citizens Bank Minnesota announces the following promotions:

Maria Anderson, Vice President, Mortgage Lender

Maria Anderson joined Citizens in 1986 as a Loan Processor. She was promoted to a Mortgage Lender in June of 2006 and most recently became the manager of the New Ulm Loan Processors in 2015. She is a 2020 graduate of the Citizens Leadership Accelerated Manager Module, a one-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth. Maria lives in New Ulm with her husband, Tim. She is a member of the Southern Minnesota Crisis Nursery fundraising committee. Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Nick Peterson, Vice President, Lending, Lafayette Branch

Nick Peterson joined Citizens in 2014. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a B.S. Degree in Business Management and a 2020 graduate of the Citizens Leadership Accelerated Lender Module, a one-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth. He recently became treasurer of the Nicollet/Sibley County Corn and Soybean Growers in January 2021. Peterson has over 17 years of agricultural related experience and continues to enjoy helping family and friends with fieldwork.

Lisa Schneider, Vice President, Mortgage Lender

Lisa Schneider joined Citizens in 2001 as a Loan Processor, in 2007 she was promoted to a Mortgage Lender. She is a 2020 graduate of the Citizens Leadership Accelerated Lender Module, a one-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth, and a member of the Network New Ulm Youth committee. During her time at Citizens, she has helped numerous clients with refinances and achieving their goal of homeownership. Lisa and her husband, Dan, reside in rural New Ulm and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Michelle Sellner, Vice President, Mortgage Lender

Michelle Sellner joined Citizens in 2016. She received her M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas. Sellner has over 30 years of Mortgage Lending experience. She is currently a member of Sertoma and the City of New Ulm’s Planning Commission. Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Melissa Bergeman, Assistant Vice President, Citizens Connection Manager

Melissa Bergeman joined Citizens, La Salle Branch, in 2010, and later that year accepted a promotion and began her role as Citizens Connection Manager/Complaint Resolution Officer at the Main Office in New Ulm. She graduated cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communication with minors in Technical Writing and Interdisciplinary Communications. In 2013 she completed the Network New Ulm program, and in 2018 graduated from the Citizens Leadership Academy, a two-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth. Outside of banking, she serves as Vice President on the Madelia Alumni Association, and enjoys networking opportunities as a member of The Women’s Forum, and former member of HYPE.

Lynn Dingmann, Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Watkins Branch

Lynn Dingmann joined Citizens in 2020 after Citizens acquired Farmers State Bank of Watkins. Later that year she was promoted to Branch Manager. She has 37 years of banking experience in Operations, Compliance and Lending. Her free time is spent with her family.

Lisa Reinarts, Assistant Vice President, Assistant Operations Manager

Lisa Reinarts joined Citizens in 2007 in the Operations Department as a Systems Operator/Bookkeeper. In 2011, she was promoted to her current role of Assistant Operations Manager.  She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Management with minors in Accounting and Business Administration. In 2013, she completed the Network New Ulm program and in 2018 graduated from the Citizens Leadership Academy, a two-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth.  Outside of the bank, she participates in Day of Caring, Junior Achievement, and is a former member of HYPE and the Women’s Forum. 

Missy Visser, Assistant Vice President, Marketing & Culture Officer

Missy Visser joined Citizens in 2000 as a Customer Service Representative. In 2005, she became Assistant Marketing Director followed by a promotion to Marketing & Culture Officer in 2019. She graduated from South Central College in Mankato with an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Management, is a 2008 graduate of the ABA’s School of Marketing and Management, a Myers Briggs (MBTI) Certified Practitioner as well as a Gallup trained Clifton Strengths Coach. Missy is also a 2020 graduate of the Citizens Leadership Accelerated Manager Module, a one-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth.

Jenn Wendorff, Assistant Vice President, Client Services Director

Jenn Wendorff joined Citizens in 2003.  She attended Rasmussen College and has an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. In 2005, she accepted a position as a Client Service Representative and was promoted to Senior Client Service Representative in 2012, followed by a promotion to Personal Banker in 2018.  In 2018, she graduated from the Citizens Leadership Academy, a two-year internal program focused on personal and professional growth. She was promoted to Assistant Client Services Director in 2019 and then Client Services Director in early 2020. Outside of banking Jenn also volunteers with the NUSE Hockey Association as Treasurer since 2018 and has participated in Network New Ulm, Day of Caring, Jr Achievement, and The Women’s Forum.

Jen Hubbard and Abby Swenson promoted to Officers.

Jen Hubbard, Senior Credit Analyst

Jen Hubbard joined Citizens in 2009, as an Insurance Agent. She moved to Human Resources in 2012 and was promoted to Credit Analyst in 2017.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Mankato State University. She recently became a member of The Women’s Forum. She and her husband, Myke have two boys and enjoy watching their sports activities and spending time with friends and family.

Abby Swenson, Executive Administrative Assistant

Abby Swenson joined Citizens in 2020. She is a graduate of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and has spent the last 15 years in various operations and administrative positions. She is currently a member of the ISD 88 Foundation Board, The Women’s Forum, and the Bavarian Blast Board. She and her husband Eric have two children and as a family they enjoy camping, ice fishing, and golf.
