NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently visited St. Paul’s Lutheran School to check out their remodel and expansion.

The project began in April and finishing touches were completed just weeks ago. The classrooms were completely overhauled and an early childhood portion was added on. This new addition accommodates up to 80 children ages 3-5.

Enhanced conference areas and office areas were remodeled to increase meeting efficiencies. A STEM/Art room occupies a great open space where kids can do hands-on activities. The STEM/Art room also comes complete with a big dividing wall that splits the room in two, this wall is also a white board and magnetic.

The school’s kitchen also received some upgrades, brand new stainless steel appliances.

Principal Peter Markgraf said they added on about a quarter of the size of the existing building, and will be also adding a playground for the early childhood portion of the school in the spring.
