Frandsen Bank & Trust recently got a face lift and the Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped by to check it out. The interior was remodeled just eight years ago, and it was time that the outside got some updates as well. The building takes up three old store fronts, including what used to be known as ‘The Bee Hive.’ Frandsen originally purchased the building in 1970. To show their support to the community, Frandsen used only local contractors, when they could, to get their expansion done. Frandsen Bank and Trust has had a few awards and recognition’s over the years, including Largest Privately Owned Bank in Minnesota (has been #1 & #2); and the Star Tribune Best Employer Award. Mike Schwartz, Market President, explained how they could not have gotten these awards without all the community & employee support. Frandsen Bank & Trust has locations in about 35 communities in Minnesota and including Wisconsin and North Dakota.
