NEW ULM — The New Ulm Business & Retail Association (NUBRA), a committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce, announced the 2026 New Ulm Shopping Opener, taking place November 6-8.
The Shopping Opener is held annually in conjunction with Minnesota’s deer hunting opener, this longtime New Ulm tradition gives shoppers a reason to look forward to opening weekend. The event invites shoppers to kick off the holiday shopping season while exploring the unique shops, boutiques, and businesses throughout New Ulm.
Participating businesses will offer a variety of special promotions, open houses, giveaways, treats, and activities throughout the weekend. Some businesses will also feature creative hunting-themed activities, giving shoppers even more reasons to explore the community and discover local favorites.
In addition to the Shopping Opener, other shopping-focused events that weekend include the GnomeMade Market, featuring open houses throughout the city November 5-8, and the New Ulm Women’s Expo and Craft Fair on Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
