NEW ULM - The 2026 League of Women Voters (LWV) Tree Walks will begin this Saturday.
This is the second year the LWV has hosted the Tree Walk. The events are an opportunity to learn about the various types of trees in New Ulm; how to properly plant young trees, care for them.
The walks will last approximately an hour and will be 12-16 blocks in length, beginning and ending at the same location. Attendees are welcome to leave the walk at anytime if needed. Anyone under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
The first walks begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1st South in front of the Courthouse. This first walk will include inclines.
The second walk is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Nehls Park.
The third walk is 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7th N. and Washington.
In the event of a cancellation, it will be announced on KNUJ.
