NEW ULM - The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce invites newcomers and longtime residents alike to "Welcome to the Party: Turning Newcomers into Neighbors" on Thursday, September 24, from 5-7 p.m. at the New Ulm Country Club, 1 Golf Drive.
Admission is free for both adults and children and includes food and family-friendly activities.
This annual event is designed especially for those who have moved to the New Ulm area within the last five years, as well as long-time residents who want to help give newcomers a warm welcome. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet new people, connect with neighbors, learn more about the community, and discover helpful information and resources for living and working in the New Ulm area.
"Welcome to the Party is all about helping people feel connected to New Ulm and the people who make this community special," said Sarah Warmka, President & CEO of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. "Whether you moved here last month or have called New Ulm home for years, we hope you'll join us in welcoming new neighbors and helping them feel at home."
Hosted by the Chamber's Willkommen Committee, the event brings newcomers and established residents together in a relaxed, welcoming setting. The goal is to help build connections, share experiences, and make sure no one in New Ulm feels like an "Ausländer" -- the German word for foreigner.
Admission is free, but advance registration is requested. To RSVP, contact the Chamber at chamber@newulm.com or 507-233-4300. More details and online registration are available at newulm.com.
