AmeriCorps is seeking an additional reading tutor for its Reading Corps program during the 2026-27 school.
Reading Corps is an AmeriCorps tutoring program that trains local people to help students become stronger readers. Serving during school hours, tutors work with students individually or in pairs to provide targeted practice and skill building. With the extra time and support, students make greater gains and get on track faster than their peers.
Reading Corps tutors come from all walks of life including recent graduate, retiree, parent, or career changers.
While serving, tutors receive a paycheck every two weeks, student loan forbearance and interest repayment, and extra money for college tuition or student loans.
Full-time tutors may also qualify for additional benefits like free individual health insurance and childcare assistance.
If interested, apply by September 21 to begin serving in October at Join.ReadingAndMath.org or by calling 866-859-2825.
