As a new school year begins, ISD 88 Foundation is inviting educators, community members, businesses, alumni, and organizations to invest directly in New Ulm Public Schools through its new Adopt A Classroom program.
The Adopt A Classroom program was created through a collaborative partnership between ISD 88 Foundation and ISD 88 District Administration. It provides an opportunity for community supporters to make a meaningful impact by funding classroom needs that fall outside of the school district’s budget. Through a $250 classroom adoption, funds will support a variety of needs identified by individual teachers throughout the school district. Items can range from art supplies to enhancements to the classroom.
The ISD 88 Foundation’s Adopt A Classroom initiative is open to all educational specialties including: school nurses, speech-language pathologists, counselors, media specialists, special education staff, and other educational professionals serving students throughout the ISD 88 district.
The program serves students from Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and School Readiness through 12th grade, ensuring every area of education has the opportunity to benefit.
Educators interested in participating are encouraged to submit an application through the ISD 88 Foundation website. Applications will be paired with donor support following the close of the campaign.
Community members and businesses can personalize their gift by choosing to support a specific school, grade level, or subject area. Donors may also leave their contribution unrestricted, allowing ISD 88 Foundation to pair their donation with classrooms and educational programs.
Both online and mail-in donation options are available.
Applications and donations for the 2026 Adopt A Classroom campaign will be accepted through November 1, 2026.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ISD 88 Foundation is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for every student in New Ulm Public Schools. The organization’s mission is to enhance education for all students by creating partnerships between the school, community, and alumni. Through programs like Adopt A Classroom, ISD 88 Foundation helps provide resources and experiences that extend beyond what is funded through the regular school budget.
Community members who wish to make a lasting difference in local classrooms are encouraged to participate. Whether adopting one classroom or supporting multiple educators, every donation helps create opportunities that inspire learning and enrich the educational experience for students across ISD 88.
