• Free Line Dancing in the Park Monday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.This all-ages program. No experience is needed.

• German Park Summer Concerts provide live performances by local talent every Thursday night in German Park. Music starts at 7 p.m. Concerts are free and possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council.

• Swim Club next session is Tuesday, July 21 and runs through August 13 and is from 3:30-4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• Fitness Class Updates/Cancellations Friday, July 17 and Monday, July 20 – No 5:30 a.m. Total Body Strength Class. Monday, July 20 5:15 p.m. class will be Tabata with Sarah. Tuesday, July 21 No 4 p.m. Yoga or 5 p.m. Tabata and Tone.

• New Ulm Night Out is Thursday, July 30 at German Park from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Enjoy local food trucks, ice cream, live music by the Hobo Band, kids’ games and entertainment for the whole family

• 2026 United Way Stuff the Backpack is a program to assist families with new backpacks and school supplies. Donations for this program can be dropped off at the Welcome Desk in the SouthPoint Recreation and Wellness Center during normal business hours. The United Way is also looking for volunteers to help stuff backpacks. If you are able to help, please call 507-354-6512 to volunteer.

• Hermann 5k Run/walk and Kids Obstacle Course will take place Saturday, September 12. The run starts at 9 a.m. and obstacle course at 10 a.m., all at Harman Park. Early bird pricing is available now through August 12. Register online at newulmmn.gov

Friday open 5 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Open swim Summer Hours: Monday (1/2 pool) 1 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday and Friday (full pool) 1 to 6 p.m.

• Cool off at Open Skate and open hockey at the Civic Center offered weekly at various times. Check schedules online at https://newulmmn.gov/285/Open-Skate-Hockey-Ice-Skating.

• North Park Splash Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through September 7.

• Wading Pools Open daily from 12:30 to 6 p.m. through August 16. The spray and toys at Washington Park need to remain off for the remainder of the summer due to mechanical problems.
