Remembering honoring Tabitha Trescott and Justin Reinarts
Vigil, 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2 in Hanska
HANSKA – The Committee Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) is hosting a vigil 2-3 p.m. Saturday, May 2 in Hanska to honor the lives of Tabitha Leigh Trescott and Justin Paul Reinarts.
The two were killed in their home on Nov. 2, 2025 in Hanska. The vigil will be held outside of Trescott and Reinarts home at 102 w. Blessum St. in Hanska on the six-month anniversary of their murder. CADA will gather together with Trescott and Reinarts family to grieve, remember, and spread awareness of the realities of domestic violence in our communities.
“We are always heartbroken to when our communities lose loved ones due to senseless acts of violence,” said Brittany Wojtowicz, CADA’s Executive Director. “We know domestic violence has far-reaching impacts on the individual, family, and entire communities. We are grateful to the family for their support in hosting this event to remember Tabitha and Justin with the goal of preventing this from happening to anyone else in our community.”
This event is open to the public and any and all individuals are welcome. The vigil will include an address from CADA executive director and offer attendees the chance to share memories of Trescott and Reinarts.
