The Willkommen Committee of the Chamber of Commerce recently visited Zinniel Utility Contracting to celebrate the completion of their new building at 4 Somsen St in New Ulm.
Owner Terry Zinniel started the business in 1995 in Sleepy Eye after deciding to pursue hands-on work and build a company of his own.
Over the years, the company has continued to grow, leading to the need for additional space. The new building provides expanded room for equipment, materials, and maintenance work, along with additional outdoor storage for larger machinery. The investment will help support the company’s operations as they continue serving projects across the region.
Zinniel Utility Contracting primarily focuses on commercial utility work, partnering with municipalities, electricians, and regional companies on power and infrastructure projects. With a team that grows to more than a dozen employees during the busy season, the company places strong emphasis on safety, training, and maintaining a positive work environment.
