CAMBRIA – The heart of the Cambria community will come alive with red, white, and blue as Cambria Township celebrates its 154th consecutive Fourth of July celebration --the longest ongoing tradition of its kind in Minnesota.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 3 with a dazzling fireworks display at 10 p.m. behind the Cambria Town Hall.
The celebration continues on Friday, July 4, with a full day of small-town charm and timeless tradition:
11:45 a.m. - Children's Games at Cambria Park
12:00 p.m. - Community Potluck Picnic - Bring a dish to share.
1 p.m. - Annual 4th of July Parade - Join the fun as the parade marches through town from the west end. Parade-goers are ask to avoid latex water balloons, instead use water sprayers or other creative ways to keep cool and courteous.
2 p.m. - Patriotic Program at Cambria Town Hall - Experience stirring readings, spirited music, and a crowd-favorite Community Sing-Along.
Fancy Cake Auction Immediately Following - Bid on some of the most festive, flavorful cakes this side of the Minnesota River.
Stay for the grand finale: Live music in the park with DD and Rosco. Guests are encouraged to pack a cooler, chairs and settle in for a hometown concert.
Donations from the Fancy Cake Auction and free-will offerings help fuel this cherished tradition, as well as support Cambria Heritage Preservation Society initiatives. Contributions can also be mailed to:
