NEW ULM – Ulm Seet Ulm will host an art reception featuring the work of Josh Madson, 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 5.

Madson is a prolific and dynamic photographer, director, and mural artist whose career spans multiple continents and industries. His extensive portfolio includes collaborations with photographers Annie Leibovitz and Jason Bell, as well as portraits of celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Bosh, Michelle Phan, and Kimora Lee Simmons.

His artistic vision has also extended to directing motion campaigns for top brands such as OPI, Goop, BeautyCounter, and Murad, and he served as the Creative Director at IPSY for over two years. Madson’s work ranges from high-end editorial shoots to impactful product and lifestyle advertisements.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Madson made the decision to return to his home state of Minnesota, where he began developing his Community Collage project. What started as a local initiative has quickly grown into a major community-driven project, now encompassing over 12,000 subjects and expanding to universities, organizations, and communities nationwide.

This art reception will offer guests the opportunity to explore Josh’s impressive body of work, including his Community Collage project, which brings people together through photography, highlighting the power of community and connection.
