NEW ULM — Pastor Bob Lund of Redeemer Lutheran Church presented New Ulm Fire Chief Paul Macho with a donation of $1,808.82 to purchase an atmospheric monitor.

The atmospheric monitor is capable of measuring different types of dangerous gases, such as carbon monoxide. New Ulm Fire Department Administrative Assistant Kristi Hose said the atmospheric monitor is used frequently by the fire department. The funds will allow the fire department to replace an older outdated monitor.

The members of Redeemer Lutheran Church participated in several fundraisers to raise money for the donation.
