United Way of the Brown County area announces 2024 Fall Days of Caring
United Way of the Brown County Area’s 27 annual fall Days of Caring will be held Oct. 24 to Oct. 26.
The event is an opportunity for community members to come together and positively impact the lives of those in need.
Days of Caring is an annual event organized by United Way to foster a sense of community and promote volunteerism. Participants are encouraged to recruit family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to form teams ranging in size from two to ten people. Teams can choose the day and times and are then matched with project requests. Together, teams will dedicate time and effort to providing valuable services to individuals who are unable to complete tasks on their own.
The core principle behind Days of Caring is “Three Days to Help One Another.” Through this event, volunteers can demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of New Ulm, Springfield, Sleepy Eye, and other communities in Brown County to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Projects can vary widely and may include small painting projects, raking leaves, washing windows, cleaning gutters, or other yard work that enhances the living conditions of individuals and families alike.
United Way of the Brown County Area is actively seeking teams to meet the community’s needs. The deadline for individual and team applications is Oct. 14. Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to apply promptly to secure a place in this rewarding and impactful event.
