Artist Elizabeth MacMillian working in a printing studio ahead of her week long residency at The Grand’s Cellar Press.

NEW ULM — This week, The Grand welcomes artist-in-residence, Elizabeth MacMillan. Elizabeth will be creating art in Cellar Press from May 19-June 2. She plans to work with wood type and text to explore concepts around sleep and dreams, and will hold a public workshop towards the end of her residency where participants will create a collaborative piece containing phrases or images related to the dream experience.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in studio art in 2021 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
